For now, the only real rule is "Be Cool."
We are also an 18+ server.
Everyone has their Nickname set to Name (Account).
The "Name" doesn't have to be anything specific... just something easy to call you in chat. You can remain anonymous (Your TikTok username will always be in your name, though)'
🌟 If you're overwhelmed, just hang out in #general while you get your feet wet. If you've used Slack it's very similar! Different channels have different topics (explained more below). But #general is basically for any/everything!
⚧️ We respect Pronouns. You can set your Pronouns by reacting to the post in #pronouns.
Add whatever pronouns you prefer!
If you don't know someone's pronouns, tap on their profile and you'll see them under "Roles."
Hi! This is the Clock App Collective. It is a place for TikTok Creators to socialize and network. We have channels ranging from "Sponsorship Advice" to "Weird Followers" to "Collaborations" and more!
It's a space where you can trust that everyone shares a baseline understanding of being a larger creator, including the unique experiences it entails.
That would be me! Ben (thisisbensilver)I started getting really involved in online communities when I was in middle school... and I even spent a lot of my Grad School work on the topic of building positive online communities around highly specific experiences.
That's why I made the Clock App Collective- as a place for the shared experiences of larger... where we can relate to each other and understand issues that other people in our lives might not.
Right now, membership has mostly been spread through word of mouth!
In general, you should have at least 10,000 TikTok Followers and also Be Cool (the only rule).
You can join the discord here: The Clock App Collective
When you're in the #Waiting-Room you can verify your account and tell us a bit about yourself!
As we grow, I want to make sure everyone feels safe and supported in the community.
If there is someone you think is a creep or bad person, you can let the mods know before we ever let them in.
I know that people in marginalized communities might feel safer talking to someone who better fits their experiences, so please feel free to reach out to the Mod(s) who you feel safest communicating with. You can also have a trusted friend reach out on your behalf.
We will respect the confidentiality between you and the Mods, you and a specific Mod, or you and your trusted friend.
If you or someone you know needs a place to host conversations on an independent platform, they are welcome here. Part of the reason I created this server was to provide a place to regroup and rally on an independent platform. We can help you facilitate private channels and/or configure a separate private server.
📵 If you're going to talk about something sensitive... from triggers to spoilers... please blur it out.
Content warnings should be specific.
(Channels labeled #cw-[topic] do not require CW's)
There are two ways to blur a message
- As you're typing, select the message to blur, and select the little eye icon.
- As you're typing, add two lines at the start and end.

Channels are conversational spaces reserved for a general topic. This helps everyone stay organized and find resources/posts/conversations more easily.
Channels are set up in Categories. Categories are just an organizational mechanic for sorting Channels into types. They are also useful because you can mute entire categories if you're not interested in them. They can also be used to hide channels so they don't clog your sidebar.
The purpose for each Channel should hopefully be pretty self-explanatory,
The Clock App Collective is a big place, and we know you might not care about certain topics!
For every Channel or Category, you can update your notification settings to:
Mute all notifications (temporarily or permanently)
Mute all notifications except when you're @mentioned (temporarily or permanently)
Subscribe to every notification (temporarily or permanently)
The Breakout Channels area is a place where Creator can start a channel! You can keep it public or private, but Mods will still be able to see it. Everyone has full permission to create/delete channels in the Breakout section... so remember to be cool.
This is just a good way to give people the ability to spin up a Breakout Channel if no mods are online... maybe for a specific topic, event, or issue.
You can also use the !suggest command to request that the Channel be moved into a permanent home!
The User Channels are spaces that are primarily run by non-mods for personal projects. They can be about an ongoing series/project you're running so that people can follow along without cluttering other channels.
These probably started out as Breakout Channels that were moved to a more permanent home!
These Channels are still subject to the "Be Cool" rule... but they may get into more NSFW content and discussions.
